Top Android Character Returns in "Cordy Sky"

Top Android Developer SILVERTREE MEDIA brings you a return of Cordy in Cordy Sky. I previously described the first Cordy game as “beautiful like a mix of Mario Galaxy and Little Big Planet.” Cordy Sky plays very differently from the first Cordy game and is a jumping platform game where the goal is to reach the highest point to collect certain items so that you may power up a ship and leave the planet. Jump from platform to platform (with 2-3 jumps of course) and bounce off jump pads to get higher. Fall off and you have a few seconds to use a Volt coin (special), if available, to save yourself. The first Cordy game only had four free Levels. Cordy Sky is FREE, but that is probably because the levels get harder and the powerups get expensive (making you more likely to use real money to get more gears). Collect and use gears to purchase powerups, other suits and costumes, different colors, and other bonuses.  Oh and the android game's intro is really nice.

Although this app isn’t made for Xperia Play optimization, it has that capability. In fact, that’s how I found it. I had already tried Cordy and knew it had excellent beautiful graphics and controls. Being Cute doesn’t hurt either. This time around, you’ll probably end up using the touch screen as controls, but the whole screen is your controller. You can still use the control buttons, but there isn’t a landscape mode so playing that way would feel awkward (that would also give you less visibility to view the situation and appreciate artwork in a quick-paced game). At first I was a little sad that this game wasn’t meant for the physical buttons or to go on my bragging list that uses those buttons, but that sadness soon went away when I continued playing (ahem...testing...) the app.

Some things are best left paraphrased. Here are some words taken right from their Google Play listing:

• TRY THE ORIGINAL "CORDY" GAME, TOO! One of the Top 10 best games of 2011 -The New York Times. #1 app in the United States, Canada, China, Germany, France, Spain, and many more! Featured "Editor's Choice", "Staff Pick", and "Best Arcade & Action" by Android.
• WANT MORE GAMES LIKE THIS? Play SLEEPY JACK! Top 10 Best of E3: "Adorable Psychonauts-esque presentation and solid gameplay...that is also tight and arcadey" -Pocket Gamer BEST APP OF THE WEEK: "It's the sort of happiness-inducing experience that you want to share with everyone." -Kotaku

Although Cordy Sky isn't as good as the first Cordy game, it's a quality jumping app. If you’re a fan of Great Graphics and Smooth Gameplay and own an Android Device, then this app is for you to at least try and be knowledgeable about. There’s a very good chance you’ll like it and be impressed, especially compared to other jumping platform games.

Note:Cordy Sky isn’t part 2 of Cordy because in the video on Cordy’s Sky’s page on Google Play, it is revealed that Cordy 2 is coming soon (and looks more techy and has electric sliding as opposed to running and jumping on a green planet like in part 1).
